Our commitment to our members at Morris Country Club remains the same as the founders of the club; to provide the best value in golf to area golfers. Our acquisition of Nettle Creek Country Club is another step in that direction. Having both courses for our membership really offers the best of both worlds.
The two clubs offer a world of difference in design and layout. Morris Country Club was founded in 1924 and provides members a great test of golf with towering trees, rolling hills, and small undulated greens. Nettle Creek opened in 1993 and despite the proximity to the club, the layout and design presents a different type of challenge to golfers. Nettle Creek is a longer, links-style layout with bent grass fairways, generous landing areas, and large greens.
Morris Country Club measures to only 6,060 yards from the back tees and is a true shot-makers course. A premium is placed on course management and positioning at the 95 year old track. Nettle Creek can play from multiple teeing areas, but can be stretched to a 6,562 yard par 71 links style course. The open style of the course leads to the course playing differently every day of the week.
Memberships to Morris Country Club allow play at both courses. Morris Country Club is a private club 7 days a week. Nettle Creek will be a private club reserved for Morris CC member use Monday through Friday and will be open to the public on weekends and holidays (while also available to our members). Nettle Creek will be available for golf outing play 7 days a week, while Morris Country Club will be remain available for golf outing play on Mondays.
Nettle Creek will remain open to the public on weekends and holidays and the driving range at Nettle Creek will be open to the public 7 days a week. Tee times for public play can be found here.
Our commitment to offering great food, superb service, and a friendly atmosphere will continue at the club. Our MCC restaurant and bar will remain a member only facility. Food and beverage minimum spending will only be tracked at Morris Country Club. The restaurant operations at Nettle Creek are leased to 'Burgers and Beers, Inc' who will offer an amazing casual hangout for golfers and locals.
